The Create GCRC team has completed 21 more Prophets Story language versions in the past year, many in the hardest to reach areas of the world like the Taliban territory of North Pakistan, and North and South Yemen. Presently we have developed active “Prophets Story” partnerships for 21 additional people groups on the 20/20 Vision list. All of these projects are in various stages of production.

The goal of our 20/20 Vision is to see an indigenous audio-visual Gospel presentation in the language and culture of the remaining unreached mega-people groups by the year 2020. With many of these groups being Muslims in hard-to-reach countries, we looked at partnering with other ministries to accomplish this goal.

A group of talented animators from another ministry had already produced an animated Gospel presentation called, “The Prophets’ Story.” It was designed specifically for a Muslim audience with appropriate music and visuals, and explains how the Prophets foretold of the need for a sacrifice and the hope of a Savior, and that Jesus is the fulfillment of those prophesies.

One of the most recent completed projects was for the Adamawa Fulani of Cameroon and Nigeria. The Adamawa Fulani population is around 4 million and live in Nigeria’s Adamawa Province. There are also Fulani groups found in Cameroon and Chad, but these trace their origins back to the Adamawa Fulani of Nigeria. In terms of spiritual beliefs, the Fulani are almost entirely Sunni Muslim with many animistic beliefs blended in.

Our ministry partners working in Cameroon are so excited to have this new and effective tool for evangelism toward their people group. They shared with us the amazing strategy they will be implementing to maximize the effectiveness of this new evangelism tool for their people group.

“Our strategy for getting the video out is mostly based on our leverage through the FM radio broadcasting we do here, and the openings that gives us in the community. Most people here have a cell phone, but not a smart phone. Even those who have a smart phone don’t spend much time “surfing the web” because internet here is so expensive. So our strategy assumes that getting the video out on SD cards makes it most available to people. We have a ministry partner in country who can duplicate SD cards at cost. Once we have the Prophets Story video from you we will add it to the Playlist, and have 300 SD cards copied. Through the radio ministry we have “listening clubs” of people in the different communities who gather together to listen to our programs. We’ll be distributing the SD cards through these listening clubs as well. Finally, there’s a Fulfulde website up that will host the video.”
Praise God for this resource, and pray that we can find partners willing to complete the remaining unreached Muslim groups! If you are interested in being a part of this “Prophets Story” project please contact our GCRC office.
