Recently one of Create International’s partners had the opportunity to travel to East Africa and share a film he participated in making for the Kutchi people. The film is set in Bhuj, Gujarat, India, recounting the story of a family torn apart in the aftermath of an earthquake. While many Kutchi currently reside in India, modern times have seen greater migrations of people from their traditional homelands than ever before, and today, one result of that is a large number of Kutchi people residing in Kenya. Our partner shared this film, “Reunion,” at a special event that over 100 Kutchi people attended. The film was appreciated and well-received by the audience and they were able to share the Gospel with many non-believers. Additionally, many asked for a copy of the film and invited the event organiser to conduct “Satsang” at their house, a contextual spiritual gathering for Kutchi to worship Jesus in their own language and cultural style.
