The goal of our 20/20 Vision is to see an indigenous audio-visual Gospel presentation in the language and culture of the remaining unreached mega-people groups by the year 2020. With many of these groups being Muslims in hard-to-reach countries, we looked at partnering with other ministries to accomplish this goal. A group of talented animators from another ministry had already produced an animated Gospel presentation called, “The Prophets’ Story.” It was designed specifically for a Muslim audience with appropriate music and visuals, and explains how the Prophets foretold of the need for a sacrifice and the hope of a Savior, and that Jesus is the fulfillment of those prophesies. Since the heart of this animation ministry is to see this production translated into as many languages as possible, they freely provided all of the files, forms and information necessary to complete additional translations. The next step was to find translators.
Through our extensive list of 20/20 Vision Partners, and other contacts, the Global Communication and Resource Center (GCRC) team found ministries and people working among the remaining unreached Muslim groups. Then we asked if they could find someone who spoke these native languages, who would also be willing to translate and record the audio files for the animation. Once we received these files, we were able to add them to the visuals. We’ve already had more than 31 positive responses, and are working on additional partnerships in order to make the arrangements to complete all of the remaining Muslim groups.
The GCRC team have completed 5 new languages, many in the hardest to reach areas of the world like North and South Yemen. Presently we have developed active “Prophets Story” partnerships for 25 additional people groups on the 20/20 Vision list. All of these projects are in various stages of production. Praise God for this resource, and pray that we can find partners willing to complete the remaining unreached Muslim groups!
